Trump’s America: The Wall
A White House official confirmed to CNN that President Trump will take an executive action Wednesday that would put federal resources toward building a wall along the Mexican border.
President Trump will also take actions that will affect refugees and visas. An announcement will be made at 1:25 ET during his visit to the Department of Homeland Security.
Trump plans to issue two executive orders Wednesday during his visit to the Department of Homeland Security, according to a person familiar with the President’s plan.
The first order will direct the agency to begin construction of the border wall and begin to repair existing areas of fencing along the frontier between the US and Mexico. The order will also increase staff at Customs and Border Protection by 5,000.
The second order will work to eliminate so-called “sanctuary cities”. These cities are ran by municipal governments whom refuse to hand over undocumented immigrants.
