Before we get any further, let’s make one thing clear: I am not endorsed by WYNK in any way. I’m a big fan of this up-and-coming cannabis beverage scene and I’m sharing what I’ve learned. My main goal here is education to both new consumers and current enthusiasts. In short, I’m a fuckin’ nerd and this is how I want to spend my spare time.
WYNK seltzers are 0 calorie, 0 sugar cannabis beverages brand reminiscent of a high-end flavored seltzer water. The packaging is eye catching and gives a classy, yet approachable feel. Their cans metallic glow really sticks out on the shelf, but especially in the coolers at retail. I decided to crack a can this evening and see if the liquid inside lived up to the vessel outside.
Right off the rip, that freshy, fresh mango hit my nostrils heavy with a hint of banana. I poured the whole can out into my pretentious ass beer glass to reveal an opaque, cloudy off-white liquid. Have I just been iced? The carbonation looks effervescent and inviting…time to go in for the first sip.
The first sip turned into drinking about half the can. The Juicy Mango flavor is super crushable! The carbonation is near champagne effervescent, tiny bubbles adding a clean briskness on your taste buds. Juicy Mango’s fruit shines on the mid palate with a dry sweetness then tapers off quickly to a crispy finish.
The Entourage Effect creeps in at the 8–10 minute marker. It started pretty heady with a slight body buzz, lowered anxiety and a pleasant euphoric feeling. 20 minutes in I felt the body buzz increasing and relaxation settling in. 30 minutes in a little more of a body buzz/headiness, with increased creative focus. The peak of the high started at this point and lasted a little over two hours. WYNK seltzers claim of a light bubbly buzz is a nice descriptor. They provide a tolerable high that is alert and focused with no paranoia or anxiety.
WYNK clearly knows what they are doing. The Juicy Mango flavor took home the best ready-to-drink beverage in the 2022 Cannabis Cup, AND a gold medal at the high spirits awards in 2023. Every can of WYNK is made in-house with no 3rd parties involved. It shows through the craftsmanship of their product. Whether you drink it out of the can, in a bougie ass glass like mine or mixed in mocktail/cocktail. WYNK seltzers are a flexible and fantastic highbation.
