How do daily digest emails work?

A daily digest is an email sent every day that informs you of any updates about a certain piece of information in Highrise.

  • Daily digest emails are sent once per day by 9 am (dependent on your time zone settings).
  • Updates include any new notes, emails, or comments.
  • If no notes, emails, or comments were added, no digest email is sent. For example, if your business isn’t working on a Sunday, you won’t receive an email Monday because nothing new was added to Highrise.

What are the different types of daily digests?

You can subscribe to a daily digest about any contact, case, deal, or group of tagged contacts.

Contact daily digest

When viewing a contact’s page, you’ll find a Subscribe to daily digest emails link in the center of the page.

Subscribe to updates about a contact.

If you click that link, you will be subscribed to the contact. Any new notes, emails, or comments added the day before will be sent to you the next day via email. This digest works for both people and company contacts.

For example, if you’re reaching out to a prospect and working with a few colleagues, the daily digest about one contact can be useful to make sure you don’t miss any new updates.

Daily digests about Cases

When viewing a Case page, click the Subscribe to daily digest emails to receive updates about any notes, emails, and comments added to the Case.

This includes any notes added directly to the case, any emails tracked using the Case dropbox address, or any notes or emails filed to the Case.

A good example of when to use a Case is to track any feature requests from customers that use your product. The daily digest can give you a nice summary of what is being frequently recommended.

Deal daily digests

Click the Subscribe to daily digest emails on the center of a Deal’s page to receive updates about new recordings added to a Deal.

Press enter or click to view image in full size

If you’ve got an important deal pending, the daily digest can help you make sure you miss no new information added by your team.

Tag daily digests

When filtering by a tag, find the section Notes and Activity by Tag and click Activity tagged [tag name].

Press enter or click to view image in full size

This brings you to the tag’s specific page. On the right-hand side of the screen, find the section Stay up to date on this tag and click Turn on email updates.

Press enter or click to view image in full size

This digest sends you a daily message if a new note, email, or comment is added to any of the tagged contacts.

Unlike the other digests, this one isn’t limited to one subject (contact, case, or deal), but several possible contacts. This means it the digest email could become quite large each day, so please keep that in mind.

If you’re hiring a new employee, you could tag all the candidates that you’re interested in, and subscribe to updates about that tag. This could be really useful to keep colleagues informed about the hiring process without them having to seek more information about it.

Daily digests are great ways to keep your team informed. If you have any questions about using daily digests, please send us an email, so we can help.
