Did you know you can filter by almost any contact or custom field in your Highrise account?

It’s true, and here are three contact filters several customers don’t know exist. We know because we’ve answered questions over and over again.

1) Contacts attached to Case or involved in a Deal

If you’re using Cases and Deals often, it can help to find all the contacts associated with a Case or Deal. Perhaps, you want to send them a bulk email or export them to view offline.

Go to your Contacts page, click Add filter by field, and choose the Attached to a Case or Involved in a Deal options:

2) People in a company

If you’re looking to find all people contacts associated with a company, you can enter in a company’s name under the People in a company filter.

This filter helps if you’re looking for a certain person within a company, or if you need to make some bulk action (tag, email all at once, delete) with the people contacts.

Go to your Contacts page, click Add filter by field, and choose the People in a company option. A bonus is you can also find People without a companies using this filter:

3) Background field

One of the most versatile contacts fields in Highrise is the background field. It can be used to store information on how you met a contact, preferences or quirks about the contact, or old notes.

Go to your Contacts page, click Add filter by field, and choose the Background option:

Bonus: Combine any filter

You can also combine any of these filters with other contact fields or any tag filters. All you need to do is add a new filter, check it out:
