Highstreet is a very real place in the Metaverse, but it’s also accessible as a good ol’ Web Platform. In this article I will iterate over how the platform works behind the scenes and how you can use it to make some money.

NFTs blew up near the tail end of 2020 and subsequently threw the world into a frenzy throughout the first quarter of 2021 with jaw dropping sales such as 3Lau’s Vinyl and Beeple’s The First 5000 days.

However, beyond just digital assets, alt assets had already been steadily growing in the shadows long before the first cryptokitties were ever hatched.

Topps, a traditional trading card company chaired by former Disney CEO Michael Eisner recently went public through a SPAC deal for $1.3 Billion, and Stock X, a secondary market for high value products like rare Sneakers moved over 1.8 Billion dollars during the height of the pandemic. On the surface these numbers point to a healthy industry that seems to have worked out all its kinks. However, the reality is quite the contrary.

NFT platforms driven by hype works by fomo-ing people into buying various PNG files that are no more than “URLs” to an address on a the blockchain, with the hope that one day they will increase in value by multiple times. However the reality is that a vast majority of NFTs sold on platforms like Open Sea and Rarible are iliquid
