Announcing Gazelle App — Social Network of Interactive Stories
Hey people! :)
In addition to our main — and big big big — project Almighty, we are working on some “side projects”. Games, of course (’cause we are Highway 2 Game, it seems), but also Mobile Apps.
Today we are releasing the first version of Gazelle.
So: WTF is Gazelle?
Maybe you remember, a long time ago, before the rise of computing-for-everybody and videogames, something called Gamebooks (“Choose Your Own Adventure”, or “Un Livre Dont Vous Êtes Le Héros” in France).
If you don’t, the principle is very simple. The book is divided into short “chapters”. You read the first one and, at the end, you are confronted with a choice. Basically: “If you do this, go to Chapter 42 Page 69 ; or, if you do that, go to Chapter 123 Page 18”.
You decide, you move to the chosen chapter to bear the consequences of your actions, you read… And so on, it’s gone for a great adventure! (until you die tragically, of course)
What these various books have in common is that they bring interactivity and fun to a piece of inert paper.
Each session is different from another. You are now an active player! That’s why it is also called: Interactive Literature.
Gazelle wants to bring the genre back into fashion ; adding mobility, creativity, simplicity, sociability, and all the great things in “-y” the 21st century brought us.
It is the Social Network of Interactive Stories.
You can think of it as a Wattpad-Like for that kind of literature, where the reader isn’t a reader anymore, but a player, a full actor of the story.
You play and create immersive adventures, and share them with the world.
The possibilities are endless.
Short stories to read or write in the public transports, in your bed, at school.
Complex and brilliant stories nobody will never finish.
Quizzes.
Lessons and Tutorials (could be a great educational support for teachers!).
Cooking recipes.
Business presentations.
Private joke with your friends.
Or whatever your imagination will create. ;)

If needed, add Events (for example, to increment the score when the right answer is clicked, or to redirect to a result page according to the player’s score).
