The hike starts off down an immediately steep embankment, traversed via a wooden staircase with plenty of dirt to prevent slipping.
A gentle trail begins to emerge after this decent. A typical northwest, well-kempt, trail extends forward, with the back of private properties to your left and a gorge with May Creek to your right.
