I think this is the hike I took…

Tiger Mountain is a giant aspect of living near Issaquah, Washington. It is also one of the four mountains of the Issaquah Alps.

This hike starts off the to the side of a forest road. I only knew where to go because my navigation said I had arrived and I saw cars parked on the side of the road. But you will see this:

This is right on the side of the road (when driving up Tiger Mountain road). The poster ahead is a missing poster.

You start the hike here, right at the edge of the road. It is a relatively flat hike at first, gradually inclining as you go along.

The trail eventually begins to be a sort of hill-side hike for quite some time.

An early portion — it gets way more “hill-side hike” later

However, I went on this hike in early March. When approaching the mountain in my car it was white from the middle to the top. I made it my goal to get to the snow line.

Snow on a lost cap. 1080 feet up.

It wasn’t that far.

The trail continued in a similar fashion while keeping a steady inclination along the way. On your left you eventually spot power lines through the trees— these lead to the radio towers that are present at the top of the mountain. Keep going and you will eventually begin to see a clearing in the trees.

Follow the clearing and you will get to another intersection with the Tiger Mountain trail. It appears as if it is a gravel road.

Overall this was an enjoyable hike, and I very much recommend taking it during a cold winter morning.
