What to pack/carry for your first hike

You probably planning to go for your first ever hike but you have no idea. Here is all stuff you need for a good first day…otherwise, the basics are listed last.
What to wear for a day hike
- Waterproof hiking shoes: Your boots should have a hard sole and good grip however light shoes can work on mild terrains
- Hiking pants: Avoid jeans at all costs.
- Hat or Cap
- Long-sleeved T-shirt
- Jacket
- 2 Socks: The material should be polyester or woolen. You can wear two pairs of socks to avoid blisters. One thin and the other thick.
- Backpack
What to pack
- 2–3 liters of water
- Raincoat
- Gloves
- Trekking pole
- Change of clothes: Socks
- Trail Snacks: Pancakes, nuts, fruits, Glucose, biscuits, juice etc.
- Personal items
- Sun protection: This can be either sunglasses or sun-screen
- Adventure spirit: You will need it
If you don’t have all this and still want to hike, you might want to just carry have good shoes, sporty wear and water. For the rest of it, you get to stock with time to have a better experience.
