iOS 16 and macOS Ventura introduced Focus Filter for 3rd party apps. With latest update on GoodTask 7.5, you can set up Focus Filter to filter Calendars and Reminders lists inside GoodTask.

As you may already know, GoodTask shows data from Reminders lists and Calendars. With Smart Lists, you can already filter them on each list as you want. For example, you can set up ‘Work’ smart list with multiple Reminders lists and Calendars. And you can set up ‘Personal’ smart list to show only Reminders lists and Calendars related to personal things.

But since GoodTask’s smart lists have much more functions other than filtering lists and calendars, there have been multiple feedback asking to support Focus Filter on the OS side.

By doing it, you can set up smart lists with other filters such as date, tags, priorities and use Focus Filter to filter lists and calendars. By doing it, you don’t need to make multiple smart lists for each use cases.

To set up Focus Filter, go into default Settings app and tap ‘Focus’. On that page, choose a focus that you’d like and then choose ‘Focus Filters: Add Filter’ at the bottom.

On that page, you can select GoodTask and choose Lists and Calendars you want to see on that Focus.

As you’ll already know, you can change Focus on Control Center and it’s done! You’ll see the tasks and events that’s selected only on all the lists inside the app.

Hope you use the app well. Thanks and get things done with GoodTask!
