Hily Streaming Feature Is Live!
Stream on Hily in real-time and invite your matches to join
For the last two months, we at Hily have been working on something very exciting for you guys and gals. After a couple of months of testing, we are ready to introduce a new feature — drumroll, please — Hily Live Streams, which are free and already available for our users all across the globe, both on Android and iOS.
Wondering how they work? Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about streaming on Hily.
To make sure everyone enjoys our streams, we are launching not just one but two types of them.
One-to-many streams
Aka regular live streams that you all know and love. It takes just one person to start a meaningful conversation, so Hily streams are a perfect way to introduce yourself to your future matches and show them what kind of person you are in real life.
Those streams are as simple as ABC. Even your little nephew could stream on Hily, although that would be against the rules. If you want to start a live stream, make sure it doesn’t feature any minors or firearms. Any violence, nudity, harassment, or hate won’t be tolerated either. Safety first, folks!
To go live just click on the “play” symbol in the app menu, agree to the conditions listed above, set a welcome message if you’d like, and start streaming!
Live Talks
If a streamer turns the Live Talks feature on, anyone can join the Live Stream and talk to the streamer for 90 seconds. Think speed dating, but online and totally safe in times of a pandemic!
If you decide to join someone’s stream, the streamer will receive a like from you, and everyone else will be able to watch your chat. If the streamer likes you, you’ll get a like from them and that's how you get a new match! On the other hand, they can also press “Next,” and both of you can move on to someone else.
Why stream at all?

With Hily Streams, you can express yourself in a way that works best for you and meet single people with a similar vibe. It is the closest we can get to a real-life date during the pandemic, so it’s a must for a dating app!
If you’re not ready to show the world your fabulous self just yet, you can watch other people’s streams to find out whether you should start a private conversation with them. Send in some questions in the comment section and learn more about the streamer to determine if you really click with them.
Lastly, what do you call an event where multiple people talk to each other and have a good time? Right, a party. We’re sure you miss them as much as we do. Hily Streams are a perfect way to have a safe socially distanced party with cool people in your area. And once the pandemic is over, you’ll have tons of new friends to go out with!
