Since real-life socializing was suspended, dating apps started playing a more important role in the users’ lives. Women weren’t just using them to find a partner anymore. They used dating apps to make friends or have a chat. That’s why the number of likes has risen — women aren’t focused on finding a life partner, so they may reach out to people who aren’t necessarily their type. At any rate, it’s great to see women take the initiative more often, so hopefully, this trend will continue.

Upon signing up during the pandemic, 70% of women said that astrological compatibility was important for them.

They need an explanation why everything is the way it is, and astrology can provide it. When people are stuck at home, they yearn for human connection and use every way to get to know each other better. Astrology can give you an idea of what the person is like in real life, which is extremely helpful when you can’t meet in person. And if it helps women feel safer and more confident about their dating decisions, then it’s no surprise everyone is interested in it.
Embracing the innovations
65% of women say they would be down for a video date. Women also do twice as many live streams as men.
We can see that women are embracing new technology even when it comes to such personal areas of their lives as dating and building relationships. They don’t shy away from innovations that can make dating easier and more convenient for them. Before the pandemic, you could stay socially active without using social networks and dating apps, but during the pandemic, it became impossible. All the dating became online dating, so you could either stop dating altogether or use the apps and video features. As you can see, more women chose the latter.
