A letter from our CEO, unique insight, and company updates

All,

2020 has been a strange, difficult and extraordinary year, and as it comes to a close I’ve found myself reflecting on our collective ability to adapt to our circumstances. Watching everyone work together to adapt to video-streaming holidays, hold strong through contentious elections, and continue to find ways of supporting one another as a society leaves me with boundless optimism about what we can achieve as we constantly evolve and enter a New Year.

There’s a lot to look forward to while still being vigilant about staying as safe as we can until the pandemic finally passes. In terms of Hims & Hers, we are ecstatic about our plans to go public through a merger with Oaktree Acquisition Corp. and are working hard day in and out to ensure the safety and quality of our expanding services and products. As you know, we’re also a remote team now and hiring from all over. Most recently we’ve had two incredible professionals join our team as new Board members, Lynne Chou O’Keefe and David Wells, who bring a wealth of valuable experience and who I am excited to help guide me as Hims & Hers grows. With Lynne’s experience on the board of Livongo and David at the helm of Netflix’s finance department for nearly two decades, I know we’re in good hands.

Sharing our journey with you over this year via these newsletters has been a true pleasure, but this will be our last monthly update. You can still stay up-to-date on announcements and other news/content by subscribing to our Medium page and following Hims & Hers’ social channels.

Finally, I will always make time should you ever have questions or want to chat — please never hesitate to reach out to me by email (included below). Thanks very much for coming along on the ride with us this year; sending my appreciation and positivity to you as we head into 2021.

Wishing you health and happiness,

Andrew

COMPANY NEWS

As mentioned above, the big news of the month was appointing two new members to our Board of Directors. We are so happy to welcome Lynne Chou O’Keefe and David Wells to Hims & Hers — you can read the formal announcement here.

We’ve expanded customized skincare options on both Hims & Hers platforms — anyone can now access additional prescription acne and anti-aging formulas tailored specifically for their skin when determined appropriate by a provider.

This month we also interviewed our resident sexual health expert, Ob/Gyn Dr. Leah Millheiser, and posted the Q&A about UTIs to our blog. We also shared a Q&A with Dr. Stahl, who shared insight and tips about virtual urologic care.

An at-home COVID-19 saliva test, authorized by the FDA under an Emergency Use Authorization, is available through the Hims & Hers platforms:
