Role & Responsibilities of a Shankaracharya.

What are the regions that come under Puri Shankaracharya Math’s jurisdiction? This is a question asked by people many times. One-fourth of the whole world comes under Puri Peetha. This is why they are called the Jagad Gurus. The masters for the entire world. Bangladesh is also under the jurisdiction of Govardhan Math. Bhagwan Shankaracharya kept Nepal under Puri Peetha. Not only this, out of four Kumbha Festivals, each “Kumbha” comes in the domain of specific Shankaracharya. So, Prayag and Kashi come under the jurisdiction of Puri Peetha.
Some pandits may think Shankaracharyas are under their province, but they are not the maker of Shankaracharyas. However the reality is not just Kashi, but up to Prayag and even the whole Nepal, is the region of Puri Peetha. So Bhagwan Shankaracharya considered this place under the jurisdiction of Puri Peeth. Bangladesh of today is also within the boundaries of Puri Peetha.
Please ponder over that up to AD 1846, the ruler of Punjab was Ranjit Singh Ji. His rule extended up to today’s Afghanistan, which earlier was also called Kabul or Gandhar. Jammu and Kashmir were also under his rule. Then Britishers bifurcated Afghanistan from Bharata, bifurcated Burma from Bharata, then bifurcated Sri Lanka from Bharata, then which we call Bangladesh, was Pakistan only and Pakistan itself, all these are lands of Bharata but Britishers divided all these from Bharata.
The prime ministers of independent Bharata have divided it 13 times till now. There is no such day on which the landmass of Bharata, especially those on borders, doesn’t get shifted or made to shift to neighboring countries. Now, these come within our area and they are aware of their responsibility.
Britishers had this strategy that the sovereign Shankaracharyas present in India, should not have any dominance in India and Nepal, etc. In the 21st century also, they have established the Pope not only as sovereign of all religions but also as the president and army chief. So, Pope is respected there but in Bharata, they appointed some politician as the Prime Minister as per their preference. They projected a politician as a spiritual figure. They had this goal in mind. If Bharata gets deprived of the spiritual leadership of Shankaracharyas; it will lose its entity and principles.
Whoever has happened Prime Minister till now, in their view, the Shankaracharyas are capable to give direction, still knowing this; they don’t come to seek any advice or direction. Internally, they consider themselves as regulators of Shankaracharyas. A strange thing is that the workers of their parties are roaming around as saints. So Shankaracharyas are regulators of those saints. What will happen if Shankaracharyas get regulated by them!
Along with temples, on Mathas, institutions for education, defense, culture, well-being, dharma, and salvation, there is control of government today and the government is controlled by businesses. The government and business are controlled secretly by Christians, secretly or otherwise. Bharata is a colonized country in that aspect.
Shankaracharyas are not living to accumulate wealth and reputation. With every second, they are engaged in fulfilling responsibility. But the biggest problem is that the government doesn’t like to engage with them. If the government wants that Shankaracharyas to remain as their party-worker only so that there is no conviction in their voice. So they are not just neglected by the government, in fact, persecuted.
Some wicked politicians have become so bold that Shankaracharya becomes bereft of their existence. Whichever party is in power, their workers have roamed around as Shankaracharya or Mahant. Whatever persecution and injustice is being done to these Peethams in independent Bharata, that persecution and injustice was not done even in Bharata under foreign rulers,
So, that’s why I pointed out that I know that is Bangladesh within our jurisdiction, but they are not quite. They are not in favor of ammunition, but treading on the path of Prahlad, they are in the process of making Strategy. They shall work to make the Bharat ‘Akhand’ (consolidated) again whatever humanly way possible in this world, they are trying day and night to make it possible.
