We’ve seen Blitzen Trapper twice now. Once at TT The Bear’s Place a couple years back after they busted out onto the scene with Wild Mountain Nation. This album prompted the signing to Sub Pop records and they have been gaining steam ever since. The title track from this album also made it on to our top 25 songs of 2007 list.

They put on quite an enjoyable rock show with every musician getting into the mix. It reminds you of what it might have been like to see some of the earlier classic rock bands like The Band for instance and how they might have sounded during their earlier years at small venues. Just a good old get down type of show.

Their most recent album, Destroyer of the Void, was released on June 8th of this year and we must admit, we have yet to grab it. But you can stream it in full below and purchase if you like:

You can also download (For Free) their recent Daytrotter session, which I highly recommend.

To hear one of our favorite tracks, Big Black Bird, watch this live version over at YouTube.
