Little Barrie (UK) will be gracing the shores of our grand state for the second time this year. This is after not making it to the states for their entire career, which started in 1999 when they released their first single. For me it was their debut album back in 2005, We Are Little Barrie, that got me hooked on these guys all thanks to my friend working at Artemis Records that dropped me the CD. Their latest release, King of The Waves, came out back in June of 2011. While it’s been a little over a year since this release, they are starting to garner more press from around the world such as in Japan where the Japanese arm of Rolling Stone had an eight page cover story on the band. They’ve been a hit in the UK for awhile and my gut tells me that they will take our shores by storm.

brite Revolution has a nice feature article on the band in preparation for their show in Nashville, which is the first stop on this short US-based tour.

They play O’Briens Pub next Thursday (8/30). Buy tickets.
