“Green 2.0’s latest report shows that there is definitely a huge problem that needs to be fixed if we are going to win on the environment. Climate change impacts our most vulnerable communities first and worst, and to not have more people of color as part of the solution is a major failure of the movement. Our communities of color are committed to the positive change that must happen on climate and the environment. For instance, 82% of African Americans back strong action to cut carbon pollution and boost renewable energy, and 86% of Latinos support carbon pollution limits. We should see that commitment translated into representation on the boards and senior level positions within our large green organizations.

Our team at the Hip Hop Caucus is focused on revitalizing this movement, making it more inclusive and diverse across the country. We look forward to working with the green groups to find solutions as we continue to battle together in the trenches against climate change and environmental threats effecting our communities. Power to ALL people!”
