3rd February
Mastering silos to connect with policy teams
Do you struggle to connect with your policy colleagues? Do they inexplicably delay or veto design decisions?
In this session I will be sharing the policymaker’s side of the story, based on a blog post I published on 17 January.
We will explore the work of policymakers and get their reflections on user-centred design. You’ll also get some great hacks for engaging with your policy colleagues more successfully in the future.

Accessibility Workshop
In this engaging, interactive session you’ll learn about the importance of making services accessible and you will get to build empathy with a range of accessibility needs through simulation activities.
The session will be led by Fern Williams and Will Turner PhD, both experienced User Researchers and passionate advocates for accessible design

Designing for Identity
As organisations increasingly move their face-to-face transactions online they face new challenges to increase quality while protecting their services and their users.
In our final session of the week Darren Hutton and Sally Henstock will explore those challenges and demonstrate how they can be overcome, using specific examples of the techniques and design approaches we use with our clients.
Darren and Sally are working for the NHS to build a digital identity and verification product that enables patients to access their healthcare records — NHS login.
