The morning after the day before
Sprinting to better digital services for Kidz Klub
It is official, I am exhausted! Waking up after nine hours of hacking/designing and sprinting with a great collaborative team as part of Leeds Digital Festival.
My job was the easy part. It took a great team of people at Hippo to get this organised in advance and those of us that turned up on the day; a bunch of incredible designers from across Leeds who gave up their time and the amazing team at KidzKlub Leeds . Coupled with the brilliant space and support from . Our design for good hashtag really resonated!
The challenge — help them to improve their processes for volunteers
The opportunity — to support such an amazing cause bringing the digital community together with a key community organisation.
The nail biting bit — presenting the outputs to real users, the volunteers who do such critical work for the Leeds community in our Show and Tell at the end of the day.
The output — some solutions that were designed, researched and iterated that KidzKlub can take forward and are also open for other charities to make use of.
In awe of all that has been achieved today @hippodigitaluk design sprint, hack, jam. We cannot thank everyone who’s been part of today enough!
What next? Watch this space as we launch our community pages and share all the outputs. So, don’t worry if you missed out there is chance to get more involved and to see how we help to take this forward.
In the meantime a big thank you to everyone who gave their support.
