Hippocrat and ResearchHub Launch Joint Research on Medical Deserts and Telemedicine Solutions
Hippocrat and ResearchHub embarked on a joint research project to identify underserved populations and regions that could benefit from effective telemedicine interventions. On April 4th, Hippocrat and ResearchHub put a bounty of 4,500 $RSC, quickly gaining traction among researchers and becoming the trending post on the ResearchHub platform. After a rigorous selection process, Hippocrat and ResearchHub have chosen two highly qualified researchers to spearhead the study: Maia Adar and a founder of a medical device company.
Maia Adar has a background in data, mathematics, and statistics. Before dedicating herself to her own research initiatives, she specialized in data science and developing machine learning models for various applications. She is the founder of Cosimo, a scientific research service committed to exploring understudied topics through the design and execution of custom experiments.
Overseeing the research project is Dr. Maulik Dhandha, a physician-scientist with extensive experience in clinical medicine, bench research, clinical studies, and journal reviews. Currently serving as a dermatologist at Woodland Clinic, Dr. Dhandha will act as the editor from ResearchHub, ensuring the highest standards of scientific rigor and integrity.
Hippocrat believes that these experts from different fields — medical, telemedicine, and data science — will make a great synergy to bring valuable insights into identifying underserved areas and populations where telemedicine could deliver significant effects. Hippocrat is conducting this research to ensure that their telemedicine app, ‘Hippodoc,’ is developed to tailor the needs of people who do not have good access to healthcare, with the aim of raising global health.
Moreover, we are confident that this research will serve as an exemplary model for DeSci as the findings will be directly applied to a real-world solution, demonstrating the power of decentralized science in addressing critical healthcare challenges.
