Hippocrat Labs participated in the 2nd Spring Symposium of the Korean Musculoskeletal Medicine held on April 6, where they demonstrated their global telemedicine service, Hippodoc.

Hippocrat Labs showcased Hippodoc, a blockchain-based telemedicine app, to doctors working at the forefront of the medical field at their sponsor booth. The app aims to provide patients with personalized medical services by granting them sovereignty over their medical data and maximizing data utilization through Hippocrat’s DID technology. One of Hippodoc’s key advantages is its ability to accept cryptocurrency payments for telemedicine services, making high-quality medical care accessible to people in underserved areas where credit card issuance is limited.

Doctors showed keen interest in Hippodoc’s potential to distribute telemedicine services to developing countries and conflict zones where medical services are scarce. Many expressed their willingness to participate as medical staff on the app. Doctors also showed significant attention to the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) model of Hippocrat, where contributors and users have the right to govern the protocol. This decentralized operation model encourages active participation from medical staff and enables transparent and efficient decision-making.
