During these times of HUGE uncertainty and suffering, God is calling me to Be Still and KNOW that He is God.

He says, Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among all the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. — Psalm 46:10

God is reminding me that He is my Daddy, that he is my God,

that He is in control,

that He loves me with all that He has,

that I am His greatest treasure outside of Jesus.

He is calling me to constantly remember that HE IS GOD and He is good — no matter what my circumstances look like.

He is reminding me that He is sovereign and reigns over everything.

Over every single molecule, over COVID-19, over EVERYTHING going on in our world, everything big and small in our lives.

He is calling me to draw close to Him and He is drawing me (even when I don’t fully realize it — he is calling and drawing me) — to just rest in Him with full peace that He holds my life in His hands and that I can let go and just stop resisting His comfort, peace, help, and strength and just REST in Him and BE STILL with Him.

He is whispering over and over to REST with Him. He is my Daddy and I desperately need Him and I need to absolutely HAVE to stop trying to control everything.

He wants me to simply sit in His lap and hold onto his neck and feel the rise and fall of his chest as He holds on to me.

Because He is holding onto me while He helps me hold onto Him.

It is really an ILLUSION to think that I hold onto Him.

He holds onto me while I hold onto Him.

If He wasn’t holding my arms up around His neck — I would simply fall on the floor on my face every time I needed Him or faced a problem.

The Lord reigns now and forever.

We can trust a God who will be exalted among all the nations and on the Earth.

He is worthy of our trust, praise, honor, adoration, and drawing close. He is a Holy God and a very personal God.

He beckons us to draw close, to sit with Him, and tell him what is bothering us.

He is nearer to us than our own breath.

Let that sink in…

He is always holding us close. Anywhere with God is home. — Lindsay Cook

I don’t know about you, but I am going to go sit in my Father’s lap and hold His hand and rest with Him.

He is with me.

I love you, Daddy, you have helped me, and you will continue to help now and forevermore.

Your Daughter,

Amanda Lynne
