The Sultan army faced the massive Pandian army on the battlefield in Madurai. The war, which ended up as a stalemate and ended the most important kingdom in South India. Alauddin Khalji belonged to the Khalji dynasty, which was the second dynasty to rule the Delhi Sultanate. The Khalji’s were descendants of a Turkic tribe.
