Liberland sitting in between Croatia and Serbia is unclaimed and could be your next kingdom.
Its a dream for everyone to become a ruler of a kingdom. But in this modern world of technology where every inch of land is already surveyed and accounted for, finding and claiming a land region is a complex task. Interestingly, one parcel of land still exists that no country claims, which might be an ideal spot for your new kingdom.
The Conflict:
The Habsburg have ruled over Europe for centuries and have defined most of its borders. Many new countries emerged when the empire fell, and new border issues popped up. One such case on border sharing occurred between the former Habsburg territories of Croatia and Serbia. The Danube river defined the border between the countries for centuries. Countries accepted the boundaries on a goodwill basis as they were part of the Habsburg empire. When the empire fell, the country of Yugoslavia was formed, which was short-lived to create Croatia and Serbia.
