Beauty and the Beast is one of the most popular fairy tales of all time and one of the most beloved stories ever told, according to Disney. Their 2017 live-action movie, starring Emma Watson, became one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

But there’s something Disney didn’t tell anyone. Not with the live-action film, and not when they released the animated version decades ago.
