Most people assume that Donald Trump was the first rapist to be president of the United States of America. Ask most people and they’ll say that a scandal like that never happened in US history before.

They would be wrong.

About 130 years before Trump’s presidency, there was a Democrat anti-corruption politician who destroyed a woman’s life. Over the years, the scandal was totally scuttled — but considering the backward trend we see today, I feel like it’s time to discuss it.

Believe it or not, Grover Cleveland was considered to be some hot goods back in the day.

Maybe people were just weird walrus fetishists back in the day, but from what I researched, Grover Cleveland was considered to be a ladies’ man of sorts. More specifically, he was known for his charming demeanor and wit.

While he wasn’t famous for being a womanizer, it was clear he could get around. During his time campaigning on the trail, he met a woman named Mary Halpin — a well-dress seamstress manager who was recently widowed with two kids at the age of 38.
