Entering Thursday night’s Game 5 against the Houston Astros, David Price had never won a postseason start in 11 tries.

The former Durham Bull (2008, 2009) wrote a new narrative however, mowing down the defending World Series champions en route to a 4–1 Boston victory, and sending the Red Sox to the Fall Classic for the first time since 2013. The southpaw tossed six scoreless frames and struck out nine, earning the victory for the first time in a postseason start.

The Vanderbilt product made 12 starts for the Bulls between late-2008 and early-2009, before he was called up to the bigs for good in May of 2009.
