Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker was named the 2018 National League Manager of the Year, becoming the first former Bull to win the award at the Major League level.

Snitker, who led the Braves to the NL East Division title and a 90–72 record, managed the Bulls in 1983, 1984 and 1987. Additionally, he appeared in three games for Durham during the 1980 campaign. The 63-year-old has spent over 40 years with the Braves organization, including those four campaigns with the Bulls when they were Atlanta’s Advanced-A affiliate.

Rays manager Kevin Cash, who played for the Bulls in 2005 and 2006, finished third in the American League Manager of the Year voting after leading Tampa Bay to a 90-win season.
