Monday is Presidents’ Day, which is essentially a celebration of anyone who has served the office of the president.

So how do we celebrate? With four photos of none other than Bill Clinton rocking a Durham Bulls hat while playing golf.

These pictures pre-date Bulls’ General Manager Mike Birling’s tenure in Durham — which began at the end of the 1998 season — and efforts to find the background of how and why the 42nd Commander-in-Chief was wearing our hat have proven to be unsuccessful.

Also, respect to Clinton for wearing a matching blue golf shirt under his sweater. Fashion game on point.

UPDATE: The Bulls have contacted an employee of the organization from the 1990’s, and here is what he had to say:

“Believe it is from the golf course at Duke Inn. Not 100% sure on the date, but think it was 1992 when he was running for President the first time. I seem to remember we found out he was coming to town and someone got a hat over to someone at the Washington Duke Inn and Clinton wore it when he played that day. I think one of the major news magazines at the time ran the pictures. Lot of memory recall from 25 years ago… but think this is fairly accurate.”

So there you (probably) have it.
