Did you know you can get FREE or inexpensive samples of papers and envelopes? This is a great way to see the product before you commit to it. Below are a few places to get paper and envelope samples:

Paper swatch books

Direct from the mill: Mohawk, French Paper, and Announcement Converters (I called for a sample and they sent me a box of ALL swatch decks for free!). Sample books can be hard to get if you aren’t a design firm or print shop though, so check with your designer or printer to see if they have older versions they can hand down to you.

Envelope samples

From: Envelopemall.com ($1.00 samples of envelopes), Envelopes.com ($1.00 samples of envelopes / FREE for resale vendors like Hitchcock Creative), Announcement Converters.

Pro Tip: Envelope samples are typically mailed via USPS First Class, so think ahead! It could take a week or more to deliver to you. Need it faster? Call customer support and pay to overnight it.

Ask your designer or print shop

Designers and printers tend to have bookshelves full of swatch books and samples that we can give or loan you. As a designer, I frequently hand down out-of-date versions to my clients for reference.
