Update: John Pallera will act as coordinator for the MIP-9 committee and will reach out to the applicants that have been selected. Please be on the lookout for his correspondence if you’ve applied as an Analyst and/or Data Expert.

Introduction

The mission of the Hivemapper Network is to proliferate a fresh and global map through a decentralized network with a transparent blockchain ledger. The network benefits from making on-chain data accessible to ecosystem participants. With the implementation of MIP-9 in February 2024 we allocated resources to infrastructure that helps to achieve these goals, such as high-quality data dashboards. The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit formal bids from analysts for efficiently improving the data infrastructure available to the Hivemapper community. We intend to issue up to 300,000 HONEY through this proposal by the end of calendar year 2024.

Scope of Work

The selected analyst(s) will be responsible for creating and enhancing data dashboards and making on-chain data more accessible and useful for the Hivemapper Network community. A proposal project could involve the following key tasks:

  • Data Dashboard Enhancement: The analyst(s) would build a new data dashboard or enhance an existing data dashboard on an analytics platform such as Dune or Flipside.
  • On-Chain Data Accessibility: The analyst(s) will work to make on-chain data more accessible and useful for community members. This may involve developing new interfaces that allow users to easily interact with on-chain data and extract meaningful insights from it.
  • Documentation: The analyst(s) will be responsible for documenting their work. This includes providing documentation and training materials for using the new dashboard(s)/tools.
  • Timeline and Milestones: The project will be conducted in several phases, with specific milestones and deliverables for each phase. The analyst(s) will be expected to adhere to the agreed-upon timeline and deliver high-quality work within the specified deadlines.
