As you probably know, Gmail recently released a new interface which is accessible to Gmail users as an option.

We have made sure that Hiver is compatible with the new Gmail interface right from the day the new interface launched, and a lot of Hiver users are using it with the new Gmail interface without any problems. But Gmail’s new interface is continuously undergoing some tweaks and changes, which is making it difficult for us to support Hiver for the new Gmail in a robust and consistent manner.

There still are open issues with the new Gmail interface and API layer which are of a critical nature, and are stopping us from making Hiver function without any problems in the new interface. These issues are with the new EAP APIs that Google has launched and Google has acknowledged the bugs.

We are in touch with the team at Google, and we’ll make sure we get Hiver up and running reliably with the new interface as soon as Google has ironed out all problems.

While we continue to work on this, we recommend that you switch back to the standard Gmail interface to make sure Hiver works in Gmail without any problems.

We will continue working on making Hiver compatible with the new Gmail, and we expect that the support for new Gmail would be robust and fully reliable by 20th of July, 2018.
