More than a Listing: HVN Now Available on Lykke!

We are pleased to confirm that our long awaited HVN March Madness campaign has well and truly arrived. The Hive Project team is working hard and making solid progress in terms of both business and product development. Now, coming off strong appearances in Frankfurt, Istanbul and Ljubljana, we are starting to get the attention of some well-run exchanges, which will help us achieve our long-term goal of making HVN as easy to buy as possible.

We are therefore delighted to announce that the Hive Project token (HVN) has now been listed on Lykke exchange.

Although Lykke, which is based in Switzerland and focused on the EU market, isn’t the biggest exchange in the world (and not the major exchange we still have planned), there are several crucial benefits to listing HVN there. Of these, our primary consideration is the user experience for those who want to buy HVN.

Giving our token holders an exchange with zero deposit and entry fees has always been high on our list of priorities, and this is a vital component to ensure strong platform functionality.

As pointed out by our CTO, Dejan Jovanovic in his interview, we are hell-bent on creating a state-of-the-art product and a user-friendly experience. The Lykke exchange is not only fast and secure, it also features excellent design choices that are packaged in an easy-to-use wrapping paper. Lykke’s focus on these aspects ties in well with our focus on the user experience, which we are determined to make as intuitive and engaging as possible.

But our listing on Lykke also comes with an added bonus — Lykke’s mobile wallet, which is available to both Android and iOS users, will also be available. Although MyEtherWallet has been our recommended choice among the HVN-compatible token wallets out there, we fully understand that a certain level of technical know-how is required to set one up by yourself.

The Lykke Wallet vastly simplifies our onboarding process for new members of the Hive Project community. More importantly, it can be used — without any help— by even the most non-tech-savvy factors and debtors, who will be joining the Hive Project Platform en masse once it launches by the end of Q2 2018.

Lykke also has plans to make fiat pairs available for HVN soon, which will be of great help when factors/investors and the small businesses covered by our ERP deals are integrated. It is clear that we need a EUR/HVN pair before we launch, at a trusted and regulated exchange, and Lykke currently offers its customers the choice to buy BTC & ETH with a variety of fiat currencies: EUR, CHF and USD.

Last, but not least — Hive Project has always been a strong advocate of regulation in the cryptocurrency and blockchain space, and we will only list HVN with exchanges that give us confidence about their longevity and future potential. We believe the power of blockchain technology brings a much needed gust of wind to many existing business areas and markets that have failed to evolve past 20th century models. Therefore, it is important to us that the exchanges we pursue showcase examples of best practice, not just in development and design, but also in the field of regulation. We’re pleased to confirm that Lykke is already provisionally licensed by FINMA, with Q3 the target for their licence to go through, and that this is planned to coincide with their launch of EUR/CHF/USD pairs with ERC20 tokens and the granting of their UK banking licence.
