Riverdale is returning this fall for its third season. The show is based on the Archie comics and is written by Aguirre-Sacasa. It has a well-renowned cast, and the mysterious plotlines have kept audiences intrigued for two years now. Riverdale runs on the CW channel and is currently on Netflix as well.

The show follows the story of Archie Andrews, played by KJ Apa, and his friends Veronica, played by Camila Mendes, Betty, played by Lili Reinhart, and Jughead, played by Cole Sprouse.

In the first season, there had been a mysterious murder of one of their schoolmates. Archie and his friends solved the case of who killed their friend and sought justice in the situation even though it meant controversial ends for some beloved characters.

In the second season, there is a masked killer, not related to the murderer in the first season, who is terrorizing the town of Riverdale. Archie and Betty work closely together in this season to find out who the killer is before he makes his next strikes. They believe to have solved the mystery at one point, but more evidence comes forward, leaving them even more shocked than before about who the face behind the masked murderer may actually be.

This show is well-written, has an impressive cast, and keeps the audience at the edge of their seats without being too over the top. It never gets repetitive, and it develops the characters in a way that makes you love them more and more, instead of the opposite.

Unfortunately, the producers of the show have kept what to expect from the upcoming third season well under wraps. We do know that the whole cast will be returning, and we can expect Jughead’s mother and little sister to be joining the story this season. Riverdale will be returning to the CW on October 10, 2018.
