The goal of HNB blockchain technology architecture is to serve the real economy and accelerate the mobility of resource allocation.
HNB blockchain technology architecture design is to further describe the core layer, foundational component layer and common service layer of the technology architecture on a more granular level.
HNB blockchain technology architecture embraces layered and modular architecture philosophy and is composed of 6 layers of architecture including Contract, Consensus, Network, Data, Security and Infrastructure.
Contract layer, namely smart contract service layer, provides the services of life cycle management, operation cost management, run-time environment, and formal verification for smart contracts. HNB smart contracts are developed by advanced programming languages such as Golang and JavaScript which not only meet the feature of Turing completeness but also provide mature run-time environments for smart contracts to be executed smoothly and safely. The contracts of HNB and HGS assets are embedded and processed in this layer and it also supports contract extension allowing for future new business applications.
Consensus layer adopts hybrid consensus mechanism of blending DPoS and Algorand algorithms based on the principle that greater responsibility go hand in hand with greater contributions, encouraging the nodes to make greater contributions in HNB community by participating in accounting and mining, ensuring the fair voting based on the agreement of delegates through encrypted sortition and ultimately achieving efficiency and consistency of consensus process through Byzantine fault tolerance algorithm.
The data layer is the granularity of decentralized database and decentralized storage in HNB infrastructure layer, embodied in blockchain technology architecture. It provides decentralized storage services for ledgers and filesystems in blockchain, supporting HNB dual-token asset and ledger management of other assets to meet the needs of the real economy in the HNB community.
The network layer is an infrastructure module to provide network communication. Its functions include providing an access interface for the infrastructure layer to access applications, providing P2P networking and message broadcasting among blockchain nodes. The communication security among nodes is ensured by utilizing TLS protocol. HTTP RPC protocol is used to provide communication to the application layer for easy integration with blockchain applications.
The security layer is the HNB solution design to address demanding security requirements of blockchain from the perspective of four security pillars — communication, data, contract, and key.
The Infrastructure layer provides foundational services for blockchain including cryptographic algorithm library, node management, multi-asset chain management, account management, transaction management, etc. It is a collection of tool sets for blockchain system to provide foundational management services such as maintenance of nodes, multi-chain, cross-chain and cryptographic algorithms among which the cryptographic algorithm module can offer multiple privacy protection algorithms such as zero-knowledge proof, blind signature and ring signature. The smart contract can be in used directly or tailored to business services to suit specific user scenarios.
