My Pinterest Mood Boards Came to Life
Boho to Brooding
Nothing can take you down the memory lane of past thoughts, ideas and interests quite like Pinterest. It’s such a lovely visual diary to come back to and mindlessly scroll through — old mood boards, pins, links.
The only reason I got into Pinterest was for interior design inspiration for the apartment I moved into two years ago (isn’t that how everyone gets into it?) It was the first time I had had to design anything, and all I had were scattered ideas that needed direction.
Moving into this apartment was the first time I could really be myself — so finding a style that reflected my inner world and personality was a must. But at that time I was still in the process of discovery and found it hard to settle on just one favourite aesthetic — so I went ahead and mixed boho, Scandinavian and industrial styles together.
I loved the warm beige and jungle colours. I loved having a nice, spacious, tidy place because it felt like for the first time I could finally get rid of everything that no longer served me. I loved the walnut and the mahogany.
