Hoblife is a budding community of young individuals geared towards bringing more attention on leveraging on hobbies. We like to see what people call conventional ‘work’ as ‘hobbies’. With this in mind we hope to connect to an identified group of people, millenials and young adults.

The ultimate goal at Hoblife is:

“To create passion in every young individual for what they do.”

It is a fact that many do not like their jobs but have to stick to them to get by and survive. Hence, they get caught in a rat race and sometimes never get out until it’s too late.

At Hoblife, we hope to create ‘mini-bosses’ who can work and enjoy themselves at the same time whether they are working independently or not. We have discovered that many have been boxed in to think that some areas of interest are not worth exploring or building a career around while it’s really what they’d love to do.

In Africa and other parts of the world, young individuals follow through with their education painstakingly, sacrificing so much along the way. This includes trashing their various hobbies (natural or developed areas of interest) in pursuit of academic excellence. Upon completing their education, some (many) do not find jobs or they get frustrated at the same jobs they worked so hard to get. It is mortifying to see the level of frustration and depression young individuals experience from a lack of purpose and fulfillment at their jobs.

With these problems identified, we seek to find a nexus between hobbies and education. We fully understand the role education plays in developing young minds. Obviously, without education there might be no true enlightenment for young individuals. However, it is also our belief that, while education serves to enlighten, it does not necessarily guarantee greatness.

At Hoblife, we have found that people derive much satisfaction from their hobbies but it is a totally different story with their paid jobs.

“So what exactly stops us from making our hobbies our real jobs (vice versa)???”

Many among those that have made major impacts in their fields really have a personal love relationship with what they do. It would be safe to say, they have ‘living’ hobbies. We then made a conclusion,

“World changers don’t just have jobs and carry out their duties as responsible humans, they love what they do.”

We believe that with sufficient resources from our seasoned writers and contributors, young people can be provided with a new sense of direction to understand that…,

“Work doesn’t have to be endured, it should be enjoyed”

Imagine a life full of people with careers built around their hobbies, that would be such a happy world to live in. A world of enthusiastic and driven game changers, not one of redundant and sullen individuals is a future to look forward to.
