Time heals. Whether it’s a bad mental state you just can’t shake, a relationship that’s been strained, or an objectively oppressive streak of hard times, time has the power to heal. And the way you allow time to heal is to endure.

Time heals because it allows for change. Change in outside circumstances and change in internal perceptions. All of a sudden, the thing in our way resolves itself. We catch a break that puts us on a new and promising path in the complete opposite direction of where we were stuck before. We catch a divine inspiration and choose to reframe our struggles as a positive, something that can make us stronger. Or we just get used to our new lot — difficult circumstance feel less difficult the more we get used to them. It’s not sexy but it’s real. And this is where enduring is so important.

Enduring is a deeply personal experience. There aren’t necessarily techniques that can help you. Grit your teeth, do what works, and make it to the next minute until the seismic shift happens for you.
