Adding a logo to your clean video is a crucial step for OTT brands aiming for brand recognition, copyright protection, and effective marketing. Here’s a detailed guide on how to achieve this:

Step 1: Determine Logo Placement and Parameters Begin by deciding where the logo will appear on the video. For instance, you may choose the right bottom corner. Calculate the appropriate coordinates (left and top) based on the width and height of your video and logo. This involves subtracting the logo’s dimensions from the video’s resolution.

For example, if your video resolution is 1920x1080 and your logo is 200x90, the left and top coordinates would be (1920–200) = 1720 and (1080–90) = 990 respectively.

You also need to specify the start time and duration for how long the logo will be displayed in the video.

Step 2: Configure AWS Media Convert Access the AWS Media Convert console and select your input video. Navigate to the “image inserter” tab and specify the S3 path of your logo. Input the calculated coordinates, layer (if applicable), and any other necessary parameters such as opacity.

Step 3: Set Output Settings and Create Job Choose your output groups and settings according to your requirements. Configure the output settings and create the job.

Step 4: Review and Adjust Once the job is completed, review the output and ensure the logo is placed correctly. You can adjust the parameters as needed to achieve the desired result.

Step 5: Finalize and Publish Once satisfied with the output, copy the playback URL and use it to publish your video content with the logo watermark intact.

By following these steps, you can effectively add your company logo to your clean video content, enhancing brand recognition, protecting copyright, and leveraging marketing opportunities on OTT platforms.
