Royal Donuts & Burgers - Mission Viejo
A donut shop-meets-greasy spoon-burger joint and pretty much carb heaven in OC. Royals Donuts & Burgers offers guests everything you’d expect from both worlds - a full assortment of donuts AND a full burger joint menu.
These two foods don’t just harmoniously live side-by-side; Royal Donuts has merged the two. Why not try a burger combo complete with burger, drink, fries and a donut? If that’s not enough of a merger for you, they offer a donut burger (a burger with a glazed donut for the bun).
Afters Ice Cream - Fountain Valley & Santa Ana
Afters Ice Cream brings Orange County a donut version of the ice cream sandwich called the Milky Bun. They take a glazed or unglazed donut and then fill it with your choice of gourmet ice cream and toppings. Some of their ice cream flavors include: Acai Blueberry Sorbet, Jasmine Milk Tea and Vietnamese Coffee.
After their location in Fountain Valley closes at 9 p.m., they transfer business over to their food truck version just a few blocks away and serve up their Milky Buns until midnight.
M & M Donuts - Anaheim
Want piping hot, fresh-out-the-fryer blueberry donuts? That’s what M&M’s is known for and all it requires is waiting in a line ‘€“ the line might take two hours but who wouldn’t wait to hours for a donut? The line starts in their parking lot between the hours of 9 p.m. ‘€“ 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. — noon for your fresh donuts to be served up nicely in a pizza box (yes, I said pizza). Blueberry isn’t the only flavor they serve up. They offer the traditional treats such as the old fashions, crumb and chocolate cake.
Adams Avenue Donuts -Huntington Beach
Besides serving up a maple bar with a full strip of bacon, Adams Avenue Donuts stays rooted in a more traditional donut approach, but is also home to the Donut Derelicts - the oldest free classic car show.
The Donut Derelicts began back in 1986 with a group of about five car enthusiasts. Now up to 300 car enthusiasts can be found on any given Saturday morning outside of Adams Avenue Donuts showing off their latest work or simply admiring someone else’s. The event is free to the public.
