“…passing that filthy thread of misogyny down to little pitchers with big ears”

When they wonder why we turn away from God, remember THIS.

In Toledo Ohio, former pastor Anthony Haynes, was found guilty of child sex trafficking Wednesday. Trusted with the care of a 14 year old girl who was previously sexually assaulted by family, he repeatedly assaulted her AND passed her off to two other pastors for sex.

Yup. And they used God as a tool because you can trust men of God right???

Patriarchy and God. At its deadliest, one hand washes the other.

I remember being very young in church one day and all the talk was about the “fast girls”. How nasty and trifling they were. This…coming out the mouths of women, mothers, passing that filthy thread of misogyny down to little pitchers with big ears.

The older I get the more I realize Eve Ensler of the “Vagina Monologues” was right - there IS a world pathology to destroy women. And Black women get the double whammy because Learned Patriarchy, racism’s ugly fucking cousin, keeps us boxed in from Two Sides.

This lowdown, roach hearted, shit souled, dirty dick “Passer” violated a young girl, passed her around to OTHER “passers” and used God to do it.

This is why we turn away. We put God in a building and told him some earthly man has the password to his account.

SHE was in the sunrise the whole time.

She was in a baby’s insouciant laugh.

She was in the begonias that bloom.

She was in the every day miracle that happens called childbirth.

She was in your grandma’s hands.

She was in your dad’s heart when he rocked you next to a steamy shower all night when you had croup.

She was in your older brother when he carried your tuba home from school and was in the front row cheering at the Spring concert.

She, God, lies in every natural wonder we take for granted. We skip over Natural Greatness, walk past it into a man made building and pray for SIGNS.

She GAVE us enough overwhelming joy to withstand a colicky newborn for weeks on end.

She GAVE us flow, rhythm, taste, speed, strength, music and sex.

Hell, she GAVE us Patti Labelle.

She whispers soft and urgently to “RUN” in times of danger.

THATS the God I believe in.

She’s got me, always had………..

And she will never pull her dick out out and tell you to suck it.

NOAP…..SHE ain’t gone do that.
