Nils: Sure. I’m the CEO and co-founder of holoride. My two co-founders and I worked for Audi in digital business, immersive technologies, and autonomous driving development.
After having the idea for holoride and working on the project within Audi for a while, we managed to convince the Board of Management to spin-out the technology to give it a real shot. That was back at the end of 2018. Prior to that, I co-led one of Europe’s largest digital stock-listed agencies.
We entered the crypto space last year to explore the potential for our platform that goes live next year. It’s an exciting space with an unbelievable pace of innovation! We’re learning a lot from the opportunities that blockchain technology can add to our platform.
And, of course, we’re very excited to have finally announced the public sale of our $RIDE token which will be offered via the Maiar Launchpad which will also be the first ever project to launch on Elrond’s strategic accelerator platform.

The almost three years since we introduced holoride to the world have been a wild ride. Some of the recognition we received along the way is humbling and a token (pun intended 😎) of achievement.
TechCrunch called us Best of CES in 2019, TIME Magazine listed us as “100 Best Inventions” that same year, and earlier this year we’ve won the prestigious SXSW Pitch along with the Best in Show award.

Community Question: Can you tell us about your plans for long-term? what you are currently working on? And what strategy will be used to expand globally?
Nils: We are currently focused on content creation and recently released our Elastic SDK at the Game Developers Conference 2021, which was a big milestone for us. With the release of our Elastic SDK, we also introduced our very own Creator Space as the central hub for developers and content creators to access our software, engage with the community, and build great content.
This will enable us to offer some really cool experiences when we launch in passenger cars in summer 2022. We do also have some other super exciting news that we’ll share with our community in the next few months.
Community Question: How can I buy these tokens? Is it available on any exchange?
Nils: We’re offering the token via the Maiar Launchpad. The public sale of $RIDE is going to take place on Nov 26. If you’re already in the process, have a look at this step-by-step guide that we’ve created with the team at Elrond.

Community Question: Can you share to us your tokenomics? How much is the total and circulation supply of your tokens? Will there be buy back system or token burning in the future?
Nils: We will see an initial circulating supply of 130M tokens. Check out this circulating supply schedule that gives you an overview when new tokens will be added to the circulation:
Community Question: Can you give an overview of your Tokenomics, and the UTILITY of Token?
Nils: We have a few initial functionalities in mind and will come up with additional utilities. Here’s an example:
- Ecosystem governance: RIDE token holders will be able to participate in the governance of the holoride platform, and, therefore, play an essential role in making important decisions about its feature development and content portfolio.
- Grant program: A certain percentage of holoride’s revenue, Fiat purchases, smart contract royalties, etc., will be used each month to purchase RIDE tokens from the open market to deposit them in the holoride treasury to fund the sustainable development of the ecosystem via grants and other incentives.
- Create, sell, and buy in-experience items: The holoride marketplace will enable users and content creators to mint unique NFTs based on their experiences in exchange for RIDE tokens. The resulting NFTs can then be bought and sold using RIDE.
- Community benefits: User subscriptions, digital items, upgrades, and brand placements will be purchasable with RIDE tokens at a discount from their Fiat price. Token holders will also be granted early access to content and rare collectibles.
- Partner royalties: Content creators and car manufacturers may receive RIDE as part of user engagement with NFTs via transaction fees on the bulletin board* or via direct sales of NFTs. holoride will ensure that balances can also be settled by burning RIDE and paying out partners with Fiat currency.
Community Question: Since NFT is popular nowadays, is there a plan for NFT integration?
Nils: Yes! The holoride marketplace will enable users and content creators to mint unique NFTs based on their experiences in exchange for RIDE tokens. The resulting NFTs can then be bought and sold using RIDE.
Community Question: Most investors focus only on the short-term price rather than the real value of the project. Can you tell about the long-term benefits for investors in the project?
Nils: We look for long-term investors — not traders. Our ecosystem will constantly grow over the course of the next few years. Connecting more partners, and passengers to our platform. By this we will grow into the transportation company for the metaverse — or simply call us “Motorverse” 😉
Community Question: What is the meaning of the name of the project and why did you name it that way?
Nils: “holo” stands for “holistic” and “holographic” — and “ride” for the everyday journey and commute (transportation) as much as the thrilling ride in theme parks. We started holoride with the purpose of making transit time count — considering the holistic passenger experience. That’s what we are reflecting in the name.
Community Question: The idea of project is really unique and incredible, how did this idea come about?
Nils: People around the globe spend billions of hours in transit — every day. Private passenger cars account for some 1.4 billion trips per day. Pre-COVID the four biggest ride-hailing companies performed an additional 50 million trips with passengers on board every single day. But: the passenger experience has been historically seen — and still is — quite dull.
Entertaining yourself while commuting is not easy. And, existing entertainment products are not really made for transit and are usually more enjoyable outside the vehicle, e.g. ideal gaming is at home or in attraction centers such as arcades. When working at Audi with my two co-founders, we started thinking about how we could solve that problem.
We started working on a prototype. And at some point we convinced the Board of Management to spin out the project to give it a real shot. And here we are!
Community Question: How are you planning on taking community feedback and trying to improve your project accordingly, how do you prioritize community feed back, because most of the new project are only worried about investment?
Nils: Our RIDE token is all about community and product experience! We raised a series A from strategic investors to build our core tech. About 70% of the funds that we’re raising from the private and public sale will be dedicated to content creation and building a strong community.
