We’ll be writing here monthly to share with you our favorite articles, opinion pieces, and stories of the month from the short-term rental world. This includes testimonials from rental operators, policymakers, and others who have shared their appreciation of short-term rentals. So without further ado, let’s get started.

  1. Eric Bay’s opinion piece in The Advocate: Eric is the President of the Alliance for Neighborhood Prosperity in New Orleans. He writes about the economic benefits short-term rentals bring to New Orleans homeowners, small businesses, and communities.
  2. Denis Hanks’ opinion piece in the Sun Sentinel: Denis is the Executive Director of the Florida Vacation Rental Managers Association. He writes about the many benefits the short-term rental industry brings to Florida, from tax revenues to tourist activity.

  4. Rapid City Residents’ opinion piece in Rapid City Journal: Residents of the Rapid City, South Dakota, wrote to the Rapid City Journal to voice their opinion on new proposals to regulate short-term rentals. It’s great to see homeowners advocating for their right to rent out their property.
