Current Features on Homescreen.me

When we launched Homescreen.me back in June, we set out to build a platform where you could not just upload and share your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch homescreens, but also one where you could discover some amazing new apps & wallpapers. With Homescreen.me, we also want to help users discover app usage patterns and learn about how their friends, colleagues or people they admire structure apps on their homescreens.

The iPhone is a personal device and there’s no doubt that everyone customizes it to their liking. We believe that there’s a lot to learn from looking at #homescreens and many users that we know are already taking cues from browsing our Featured screens. We wanted to make it easier to discover new screens, and last week, we introduced the Recently Added and Most Liked pages.

As the name suggests, these new pages allow you to discover and browse the homescreens who have recently updates their devices and the ones who have received the most ❤️s in a week.

The Big Three Features

Over the last couple of months, the Homescreen.me team has been working on a major feature updae to the site and we’re stoked to roll it out to everyone today.

  1. Track your Past Homescreens

Ever wondered how your Homescreen has evolved over time? What if you could go back in time and see which apps you were using a month ago? Well, now you can.

You can now browse all your Past Homescreens on the site. All the screenshots that you’ve uploaded since you signed up here are available for your perusal. So go ahead, take a trip down memory lane.

2. Follow your Favorite Users

Yep, that’s right. You can now ‘Follow’ your favorite users on Homescreen.me. We have a brand new page called the Timeline and all the users that you choose to follow will automatically show up here. While browsing someone’s homescreen, you’ll now see a lovely ‘Follow’ button right next to their display names.

This is a great way to keep up with the updates of the people you care about and collectively view their updates homescreens in a single page.

3. Get Notified about New Homescreens

We understand you don’t spend all day on the site, and the lack of an iPhone app (Hi, Apple) doesn’t make that easy either. So we built an easy way to stay updated when someone you follow posts a homescreen. You’ll automatically receive an email when that happens, so you too can get that swanky new app or wallpaper that they are rocking.

To get started, you can head over to our Featured, Recently Added and Most Liked pages and start following some users.

As always, we’re always on the lookout for feedback and would love to hear your thoughts about these new features. You can always email us at hello@homescreen.me or find us on Twitter at @homescreen.
