Last week we shipped one of our most-requested features: the ability for users to direct our reporting. Now, each Hometown News Guide has a “Community Questions” section where you can ask us any question you have about that issue.

Then, other users can upvote your question if they also want to know the answer. When a question gets about 5 upvotes, our small but mighty team investigates and responds right there in the News Guide so everyone can see.

Finding the answer might involve reaching out to the people and organizations involved, digging through city council meeting minutes, or just doing a fancy Google search. Here’s an example:
