A tale of friendship

The two protagonists, Roman and Peter, are outcasts in their own rights. Peter is a gypsy and Roman is hated by almost everybody in the town because of his family name. So they naturally gravitate towards each other. Both have their secrets and continuously explore each other’s boundaries throughout the first season.

In season 2 their friendship is tested in many ways. It’s all about their trials and tribulations. New dangers arise and the lines between between friends and foes are starting to blur. A certain sense of uncertainty is cast over the entirety of season 2.

Season 3 focuses heavily on the importance of family and less so about the friendship of the protagonists. The whole “ghost seeing” theme that was explored during the end of the season seemed rather silly to me. I did not appreciate it in the slightest. What I found somewhat ironic however was the fact that Dr. Pryce and Shelley were far more interesting and complex characters than the two actual protagonists. So much so that I stopped caring about Roman and Peter halfway along the second season.

Final Verdict: would recommend (if you like TV shows about supernatural creatures)
