On the morning of October 30, Instagram influencer Dave Hollis was busy reading about the importance of stillness on his so-called patio of peace when he shouted at his 4 year old daughter Noah to bring him his laptop. His phone was dying, but Dave was in the middle of something important: reading a chapter from his new book out loud to his “internet friends.”
When she brought his laptop out to him without the plug, Dave was visibly irritated and made Noah go back to get it.
All of this happened live on Instagram, only about 15 minutes after Dave did nothing about Noah’s request for breakfast. And just minutes after yelling at viewers to buy his new book. So, 29 minutes into what would become a two-hour viral rant, Dave ordered his small child to get the shit he could have grabbed himself at the exact moment he needed to take a pause and follow a bit of his own advice.
