【Hong Kong Travel】Sam Dip Tam — A former water resort.

There are quite a few streams in Hong Kong, and one of them, the “Tai Yuen Stream”, is famous for its beautiful scenery and was once one of the top nine streams in Hong Kong. As for the place that HongKongFootprint.com wants to visit this time, it is closely related to the “Tai Yuen Stream”, and now let’s go to have a look.

The “Sam Dip Tam” in Lo Wai Tsuen, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, was originally the downstream part of the “Tai Yuen Stream”. The so-called “Sam Dip Tam” means that the stream is divided into three layers of streams, and the streams are stacked on top of each other, forming three pools, hence the name. “Sam Dip Tam” is quite wide. There are small waterfalls between each layer of streams. There are also trees on both sides of the streams. The mountains along the way are green and the scenery is very beautiful.

Because the flowing water of “Tai Yuen Stream” was intercepted and introduced into reservoir, the flowing water of “Sam Dip Tam” was greatly reduced, so it is no longer suitable for splashing and swimming. Even so, today’s “Sam Dip Tam” is still picturesque, with green trees along the way, it is also a good place for outings.

Location: Sam Dip Tam
Address: Sam Dip Tam, Lo Wai, New Territories
