Haymitch’s Story + A Movie!?
Did you hear the news!? Suzanne Collins recently announced there will be a new Hunger Games novel. I, admittedly, was taken completely by surprise by this revelation! It’s only been a few years since we got the unexpected prequel, Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and I just assumed that would be the last addition to the Hunger Games universe.
I was a huge fan of the original trilogy when I first read it and have since re-read it multiple times (as well as listened to the audiobooks for a different experience).
With that said, I thought the prequel was a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping for a more nuanced character in Coriolanus. Instead, his villain origin story fell flat.
However, I still have high hopes that Sunrise on the Reaping will be a return to greatness.
