Since EU Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, commonly known as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) entered into force on 1st June 2007, HOPAX has been engaging in following the related laws and regulations as well as the timelines for pre-registering and registering its chemicals. In early 2010, HOPAX formally established its REACH team, which is responsible for all the communication with the clients in the EU markets and the Only Representative (OR), TÜV SÜD Iberia S.A.U., as per the latest regulations, to ensure REACH compliance from time to time.

By the end of 2011, HOPAX has done the pre-registration for all its chemicals products. To date, 11 of its fine chemical products have been fully registered based on various tonnage bands. And, for HEPES, HOPAX group has gained additional 100 tons ready to make the overall import tonnage to 200 tons per year to satisfy the growing demand of its EU clients.
